What To Expect
Your excursion will be by coach or minibus depending on the number of people booked. Our coach has 24 seats and our minibuses seat 8. A minimum number of 4 persons is required for an excursion to operate. Lunch or refreshments are not included, though stops will be made. All our drivers are English and have extensive alpine driving experience. Your driver will provide a commentary in English, as appropriate, together with advice and assistance as necessary. Where admission fees are included this is clearly stated within each excursion description.
What To Bring
The weather in the mountains can change quickly, even in the summer. Local thunderstorms are common, especially in the afternoon. You should bring waterproof clothing and comfortable footwear. Temperatures are normally comfortable but these can be reduced significantly by wind-chill. If you are ascending the Aiguille du Midi in Chamonix (12,880ft) they can easily drop to freezing point, so you should ensure you have at least a warm fleece and coat. Refreshment stops will be made, though lunch is not provided. You may choose to bring a packed lunch or visit one of the many cafes at your own expense. Visa/Mastercard and Euros are accepted at all destinations, though in Switzerland any change given may be in Swiss Francs. Don’t forget, you must bring your passport if stated on the excursion description
